What Raja said about gassers

Once you realize that you can have as much fun with gassers as nitros and get comfortable with them to start enjoying them for pennies on the dollar, they are irreplacable and there will be no place for a nitro machine in your house any more. When I had a nitro sitting around (wasn't even mine--for a project) and even with FREE GLOW FUEL that they gave me to fly it with, when I went down to the basement and wanted to take a heli fly, cost aside (free fuel), I would always take the gasser UNLESS I had to fly the nitro. I just didn't want to deal with the mess later and cleaning it up, plus lug all the field equipment, deal with glow plugs, engines quitting just before spool up, etc etc. Who wants that crap any more once you can have all the fun with a cool gasser??!
 

The turbine is a novelty item. Its not practical to fly daily. I spent a day with one this past weekend flying it. It burns 10x the fuel of a gasser and its a little finniky in starting and can quit if you are not super gentle with the throttle. Think of it as your showoff item but not your everyday workhorse.
